This year, on the path taken by Terra Futura to make the event more and more sustainable, it has been chosen to calculate the environmental performance of some of the most representative areas of the fair. Terra Futura Hall and the Responsible Companies Stock Exchange were subjected to EcoEvaluation ® method of calculating the environmental sustainability of the areas based on reference standards of Guidelines of the Region of Tuscany "Exhibit Design: eco criteria and methods for environmental sustainability", to date the only scientific reference in a position to assess the environmental sustainability of the exhibition and retail spaces.
The analysis, prepared by BBA-Architects & Partners as Technical Sponsor of Terra Futura, is made in terms of materials, kWh/sqm and CO2.
How many kWh are needed for production? And how many will consumed during the festival in these areas? What kind of materials were used, and how will they be disposed ? How much CO2 was emitted to transport the setting from the production plant to the location?
Echo-evaluation ® answers these questions with specific datas, framing the results in the reference standard ECO Classes A, B or C of the Tuscany Region according to the results obtained.
Obtaining EcoEvaluation ®, which with its label unique and recognizable identifies sustainable spaces of the event, in addition to being a real commitment aimed at improving environmental performance, allows you to communicate in a fully transparent way the environmental levels achieved through. The Results of EcoEvaluation ® will be visible in the halls during the event.
