The Guidelines of the Region of Tuscany Exhibit design. Eco criteria and methods for environmental sustainability , and Exhibition. Eco design for temporary installations  define the method on which is based EchoEvaluation ® , and indicate the standard reference frame for the provision of eco-sustainability of space.

Both are the result of research Eco-Design for temporary exhibits , prepared by the Master of Science in Design from the University of Florence Faculty of Architecture to  define a methodology that integrates environmental criteria in the different phases of the design process and purchase of supplies for the preparations, acting as a tool between the procuring entity and the supplier.

Thanks to their approach  to the production life cycle ,  as suggested policy of the European Commission as a key solution in the field of sustainable production and responsible for achieving the goals of sustainability, research and related guidelines are to date the only existing scientific reference system for the sustainability of exhibit and retail spaces. This design approach is based on the conscious management of resources (materials and energy) at all stages of the design of the installation, from production to disposal, enabling the achievement of high environmental performance measurable and certifiable.

More scientific awards to research came through the establishment of the Master in Eco Exhibit Design, established by the University of Florence and Tuscany Eco Efficient Award, which counts among the sections of participation "Eco Exhibit Design". The Guidelines of the Region of Tuscany are also the basis for the course of the degree in Museology Contemporary at International University of Art in Florence, UIA.

Through the aggregation SEED, Synergy for Eco Event Design, research is part of the Regional Cluster Technology for Energy of the Lombardy Region, where it contributed to the official recognition of the subject "temporary structures for events" in view of Expo 2015.

The Guidelines are been adopted by the Network of Companies B2Green,  the  first network of companies founded for the realization of environmentally sustainable events through the call Ergon of the Lombardy Region,   as a reference for the production of equipment for eco-friendly events green.
